What We Do

NORM Solutions uses a cutting edge, fully automated, Ultra High Pressure (UHP) water jetting system for the decontamination of Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM).

Our purpose built, cutting edge facility in Aberdeen has been designed to operate at the very highest standards and is fully authorised by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).

We are able to decontaminate and handle:

  • Tubulars
  • Valves
  • Pup Joints
  • Pumps
  • Manifolds
  • Filters
  • Christmas Trees
  • Spools
  • Flanges
  • Gauges
  • Umbilicals
  • Flowlines
  • Risers
  • NORM Sludges and Sands

Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) decontamination is conducted inside specialist cleaning booths, using our UHP water jetting system. All water from these processes is recycled back into the system, and as all activities take place in a fully controlled and completely enclosed environment there are no discharges to the atmosphere or water systems.

Our facility has substantial storage capacity for receiving large parcels of NORM contaminated materials, allowing us to handle NORM items and equipment from large decommissioning projects or on-going offshore operational activities.

As providers of an all-in-one NORM treatment service, we can arrange for decontaminated equipment to be returned to the customer, or to be scrapped or recycled as necessary.
